and only in the darkest corners of the Glee fandom can a kid who was beaten by three men days after coming out, run out of his school, unsupported and unprotected by his school’s officials, and then had rock salt thrown in his eye while protecting his boyfriend, still be treated with hate and disdain…all because he gets solos on the show

and only on a show that seems to be completely oblivious to the fact that it’s spiraled out of the Earth’s orbit and is flying too close to the sun would the writers choose to address the serious issues facing gay youth by ignoring the very same kid’s story and instead making him the soundtrack to a tertiary character trotted out to lure viewers to their weekly installment of “let’s kick the gay kid” thereby proving they never really meant to address serious issues but only to pay lip service to them while padding their wallets and patting their backs.
